The Taff Ely (Llantrisant) Ramblers' Group, now with more than 150 members, was formed in 1993 as part of the Ramblers' Association, a charity that promotes rambling, protects rights of way, campaigns for access to the open country and defends the beauty of the countryside.

We have a national reputation for our friendly welcome and relaxed attitude on our walks and new walkers are always welcome. So come and enjoy the Countryside in the friendly company of fellow walkers.

Our walks program consists of one or two walks each Sunday, while our "Saturday Strollers" provide shorter walks on alternative Saturdays. In the summer we also walk on Thursday evenings.

We have also produced two series of walks leaflets; these give instructions for walks in the local area.

Maintaining the local footpath network is a priority. Some of our volunteers undertake practical footpath work to help maintain the local footpath network.
